Souqiyah – Multi-Tenant E-Commerce SaaS Platform
Souqiyah is a modular-monolith multi-tenant SaaS e-commerce platform composed of four decoupled applications sharing a single NestJS API backend. It allows merchants in the GCC region to launch domain-resolved, white-label online stores with customizable themes, multi-channel order ingestion, and AI content generation.
The Challenge
Merchants in the GCC region needed a turnkey e-commerce platform to launch white-label online stores with zero infrastructure overhead — each with its own domain, theme, product catalog, payment gateways, and order lifecycle. Existing solutions forced a choice between rigid template platforms with no customization or fully custom builds with prohibitive costs and long development timelines.
Our Solution
We architected and built Souqiyah, a multi-tenant platform composed of four decoupled apps sharing a single NestJS API backend (55+ Mongoose schemas, 65+ REST controllers, 3 WebSocket gateways, BullMQ queues): a Next.js 14 Merchant Dashboard, Next.js 15 DNS-resolved storefront engine, Next.js 14 Super Admin panel, and a headless V2 Storefront API.

Multi-Tenant RBAC & Domain Resolution
32 permission resources with per-resource granularity embedded in Account models. Subdomain DNS resolution isolates merchant store data, RBAC, and custom configurations.
Multi-Source Order Ingestion
Unified orders across 5 channels (native, Shopify, WooCommerce, EasyOrders, LightFunnels) via webhooks and BullMQ workers into a 10-status order state machine.
Append-Only Inventory Ledger
Tracks every stock movement across multi-location warehouses, preventing out-of-stock race conditions across all connected sales channels.
AI Product Content Generation
Multi-provider factory (OpenAI, Ollama, Vercel AI) with streaming SSE generating structured bilingual Arabic/English titles, descriptions, SEO, tags, and pricing.
Theme Engine & Section Composition
Declarative JSON page composition with pluggable SectionRegistry, 3 complete themes, and 27 product page variants for instant A/B testing.
Super Admin Control Panel
Platform-wide management interface for cross-tenant catalog oversight, merchant approval workflows, billing, and operational health metrics.
